Sinigang Instant Ramen

Ingredients:

  • Shrimp-flavored instant ramen pack

  • 1 tsp Mama Sita Sinigang seasoning

  • 1 tsp Patis (fish sauce)

  • 4 frozen shrimps, peeled and chopped into small pieces

  • 1/4 cup Spinach/kang kung spinach

  • 2 slices of tomato

  • ¼ yellow onion sliced

  • 1/4 cup of daikon diced into cubes

  • 1/4 cup of snap peas or frozen green beans

  • pickled jalapeno for heat (Optional)

  • 1 cup of boiling hot water (or enough to fill 80% of mason jar)

  • freshly ground pepper 

  • A squeeze of lemon (add more for extra sourness!)


DIRECTIONS

  1. Into a 16oz - 32oz mason jar, break up half a packet of instant ramen noodles, filling halfway up the jar.

  2. Add Sinigang seasoning, patis, frozen shrimp, and all of your vegetables to fill your jar.

  3. Boil hot water in a kettle to at least 195 F or higher.

  4. Pour boiling water about 80% of the way into your jar.

  5. Cover the jar with the lid and let cook for at least 5 minutes.

  6. Add freshly ground pepper and a squeeze of lemon, stir liberally, and enjoy!
